Zoo Crazy! Picture Crazy!

Zoo Crazy. Picture Crazy. Whatever you want to call it, I can tell you one thing...I took A LOT of pictures at the zoo last week. So many, that I simply could not only pick 10-15 of them to show you.

So, instead I created a slide show of about 90 of them for your viewing pleasure!

Believe me. I took waaaaaay more than 90 pictures.

This is just what I call 'narrowing it down to a few of my favorites'!




As you can tell, the kids (and Mom) had a blast. Audrey wasn't really much in the picture taking mood, but once Grant underwent his transformation he couldn't get enough of my lens in his face!

Funny story about the face paintings...When you see the ones of Grant driving around a little car, notice the kid in the background with the black Spiderman face paint. I didn't even notice him behind Grant until all of the sudden Grant started yelling, "Hey Mom! Look! It's Vit-a-men" (aka the villain 'Venom' on Spiderman 3) I think it is hilarious that I actually caught the picture of him showing me! After that I couldn't stop laughing because that kid with the black face was focused on catching up to Grant.
If Spidey turned left, Vit-a-men turned left.
If Spidey turned right, Vit-a-men turned right.
I'm telling you, in their minds the were the only two out there!
And what are the odds that they ended up with those faces painted and on the same ride?
Too stinkin' funny!!!

I ♥ Faces Week 31 - "Crazy, Silly, Funny Faces" and "Pets"

As those of you who regularly read my blog already know, I ♥ Faces is a photography site focused on the art of capturing faces and their various emotions. Each week they have a challenge and this week's challenge just so happens to be "Crazy, Silly, Funny Faces" and there is a just for fun "Pets" category so I am happily entering both this week.

I was going to post the zoo pictures today but they are going to have to wait until another time.

More important things to tell you about today.

I'm sorry I didn't tell you about this sooner, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

Duke has fallen in love with someone else.

Her name is Sally.

And I do have to admit, she is beautiful.

I have some pictures of her, for you to see.

She is all dressed in black and very sleek.

Not sure how I could ever compete with her.

Just see for yourself...

By the looks of it, Sally makes Duke really happy!

Or, maybe it's the Bud Light he is holding.

Either way, he looks pretty darn happy!

I guess I'd pretty stinkin' happy too, if I got to pack up my brand spankin' new motorcycle for a 2 week trip out to Pennsylvania for a NASCAR race and then through the Smokey Mountains.

Sadly (for him) his two week trip comes to an end today. The guys should be rolling in sometime this afternoon. The kids and I couldn't be more excited to see him! It's been a fun, but long almost two weeks without him so it will be nice to have him home!

Oh, and we have his 20 year class reunion to go to tonight. Should be a fun time!

Until then, all he has to do is ride around Sally....Ride Sally Ride!!!
