Chuckleheads

Not sure where the term 'Chuckleheads' ever came from but I am sure if you looked it up in the dictionary, you would find this very picture...
Yes, my two silly little Chuckleheads thought it would be funny to wear Pull-Ups as hats and run around the house giggling hysterically.
I guess you could say I thought it was pretty darn funny myself!
Mostly, I love to capture these everyday moments so that some day when I am old and wearing a Pull-Up of my own I can look back at these pictures and remember.
Not remembering moments like this is something I always fear. I want to remember every single minute of my kids being little because I know you can't ever get that time back.
And I may or may not want pictures such as these so I have some interesting photos to put up at their graduation parties. Shhhh, don't tell them that though!

So. Far. Behind.

Lately I have been feeling So. Far. Behind. Just can't seem to catch up no matter how hard I try but I figured I had BETTER put up a blog post before someone sends out a search party. Actually, the hubs was gone for 10 days on an Elk hunting trip to Colorado. The week before he left, all of us except Audrey came down with a bad cold (the flu) and I hadn't been able to shake it until about Wed of this week. I was EXHAUSTED the entire time Duke was gone so I was in bed at the same time as the kids most of the nights. Hence the no blogging. But I have sooooooo missed it and now I am back whether you like it or not!
I did take Thurs and Fri off from work and was able to get a lot accomplished so I am feeling a little less far behind now. Thank goodness!
The pictures in this post are from WEEKS ago but they were already uploaded and ready to post so this is what you get!
If you haven't guessed, Audrey is playing on the 'puter'.
My how she looooooves typing on the puter!
The kids have also been into doing lots and LOTS of projects. I am to the point of feeling as if I may be project-ed to death! Not sure that my fridge could possibly hold one more picture and the stack of projects is getting bigger by the day but I do love that the kids are learning so much at school/preschool and that they have a new found love for creativity. I just may have to buy stock in Crayola!
As we speak, the kids are outside with Daddy setting a 'bird trap'. Yesterday, Grant saw a bunch of birds outside the patio door and decided he wanted to try to catch one. He ran outside with his butterfly net but didn't have any luck so he decided that he needed to set a trap to attempt to catch one of the birds.
He has been plotting for over a day now as to how this trap/house is going to look and work. This morning he even started creating one out of a cardboard box, paper and a paper towel roll. Since it is raining out, they have now gone the route of setting an actual small animal trap outside with bread in it and just came inside to watch out the window to see if they have any luck. Love the imagination of a 5 year old!
I'll keep you posted if they actually catch anything ;)
