Last year (2007) Halloween day was the day that I came home from the hospital with our little punkin', Audrey. She was so tiny and I wasn't due until after Halloween so she didn't get to dress up last year. That made this year really special for her. Can you guess what Audrey was for Halloween???

If you guessed a bunny, you were WRONG! She was a little lamb, or as Grant would say, "She's Mary had a little lamb!"
And do you know what Grant decided to be? He chose the Bumblebee Transformers costume.
Here are the two little goblins out Trick-or-Treating at our neighbors house. Aren't they adorable!?! Audrey got to ride in the stroller to a couple of houses and Grant got to ride on the 4-wheeler with his Daddy-O. I guess we will just have to get another 4-wheeler so that Audrey doesn't feel left out next year. Or a better thought...how about one of those Polaris Rangers. Yeah, now we're talkin'!

Audrey goes to bed pretty early and I wanted to get home to give out candy so we let the boys head off on their own for a little more Trick-or-Treating. I think Duke actually came home with a few 12 oz treats of his own!
While the boys were out cruisin' around, Tootie and I had a little lamby concert at our house. She got this little microphone music machine from Aunty Kala, Uncle Russ and the kids and she LOVES it!

Uh oh! Is that someone at the door? Better go give out some candy, Mommy!

We were giving out small bags of popcorn, cereal straws, glow bracelets and a handful of candy to every kid that came to the door and we heard more than once that our house was the best one they had been to! Woohoo!

So, Audrey and I played for a while longer until she started to get tired. This is pretty much how it went. First find the nukie and the blankie...
Then find a nice comfy spot on the carpet...
Get all snuggled up...
And nighty-night!
Okay, so I didn't really let her fall asleep on the floor in front of the bathroom. She was just nuzzling into her blanket in this picture. Shortly thereafter I got her into her jimmer jammers and put her to bed. Then in walked this little devil, presumably all hyped up on sugar!

And now doesn't he look tough riding around on his sisters little pink 4-wheeler!

Because I am a slacker Mom, my little feller had his supper of "cold pizza" at about 8 o'clock when they got back from their rounds. And of course, this is also when the 2nd round of trick-or-treaters started showing up. Grant had a blast giving out treats to all of the kids.

I even gave him these goofy glasses to put on when he answered the door. Everyone got a total kick out of him. How could you not love this face?
All in all it was a great Halloween. Hope yours went well also!

  2. I CANNOT believe your baby is one! It just doesn't seem possible. I am glad you are ready for the kit. I finished a book tonight. I have another half way done, and a third, I started tonight also. I aim to prove how far these supplies will stretch and how different they can all be! Two are Halloween and one will be fall. I am about to order Christmas goodies too. Melanie
