Look Who's 1 Year Old!

I can hardly believe that my little baby girl is now 1 year old!!! Her Birthday was on Wed, Oct 29th, but I am slow at getting my posts done so I am a few days behind schedule. We had a small party for Audrey on Wed evening. Most of Duke's family was able to make it (I am notorious for organizing these things at the last minute so they weren't given much notice...Sorry!) and my Aunt and her 3 kiddos were also able to make it. We celebrated Audrey's b-day with my parents when we were in Grand Rapids in mid October. Anywhoo, I'll get to the pictures since there are a lot of them. Again, sorry! But my little dollie only turns 1 once :)
Here is the little Toot getting ready to party! Grandma Sue assumed position and entertained her while I was putting the finishing touches on dinner.

And then when Auntie Brenda, Uncle Jody, Bailey and Carter arrived, they came bearing Halloween goodie bags for the kids. Thank you! It entertained them for quite some time.
Here is Carter showing off his broken arm. Poor kid...it makes doing homework pretty difficult.

And here is Grant modeling his Snoopy Halloween mask. And look at Audrey perfectly happy gnawing on a candy bar still in the wrapper. Good thing she doesn't know what is inside yet!

She sure looks like she is up to something in this picture. Wonder what she stole from the kids?

This is a picture of Auntie Brenda trying to get my son to eat. He was too busy playing to be even remotely interested in eating dinner so Brenda turned it into a race. He scarfed down his yogurt and almost choked trying to gobble down a piece of dry bread. Yummm...what a strange choice of foods. That's my little Granty!

Emily Carter and Audrey.

In the middle of all of the excitement, Audrey decided to take a break and do some coloring so she climbed up in her chair for a little artsy time. Too bad I wouldn't take the cover off of the marker for her!

And then came gift opening...She got books and money.

Then had to sit on the book to lay stake to it.

And a check. Not that she knows what a check is, but she will soon enough. And look at everyone trying to get their hands on her moula! Run, little girl...run while you still can!

Ooohhh...a dolly and her very own Hot Wheels...funny story about that. When we opened them, Grant decided he was going to pick out the ones he liked best and was going to "trade" Audrey. He went over to his 4 baskets of little cars and picked out the 10 oldest, most beat up, ugliest cars and those were the ones he was going to give to Audrey...NIIIICE!

Okay, back to the presents... Clothes, clothes, we LOVE CLOTHES!

Here is the O'l Bow-on-the-head trick!

And her new ride on pony...not ride on box!

Here is Duke's favorite picture. He says at least I can now see what I look like when I am ragging on him all of the time!

Gettin' a little lovin' from my sweet baby girl.

Then it was time to get into the high chair and get ready for yummy, yummy cake. But what is this I see...another present! Yippee!

Hey, get your hands off! That is mine!

Ohh, yeah. Thanks Evan. I LOVE to make sweet, sweet music!

And here is the Birthday cake. Just the right size for Little Tootie.

Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you (come on, sing!)

Happy Birthday, Dear Audrey. Happy Birthday to you!
Here she is "singing" her little heart out.

Look at her sitting there enjoying her time in the spotlight when out of nowhere...

...appears her super annoying big brother. The look on her face says it all!

MMmmm, loves me some cream cheese frosting!

And some cold white milk. Yep, that is right. I drink MILK now, not formula. What do you think about them apples?

Hallelujah! How come my mother never let me have frosting before?

It got to be a long night for our little Birthday Girl, especially since she is usually in bed by 7:30 pm every night. Here she is getting a little snuggle from her Daddy. Nighty, night sweet angel baby.

After Miss Priss went to bed, the bigger kids decided to play a little towing game with the 4-wheeler, the walker car and the waist tie to my robe. Needless to say, it was quite humorous to watch them try to tie the two together since neither of them knows how to tie a knot yet!

And I do not know how the two of them fit on that poor, tiny little 4-wheeler, and it still worked! It runs on 6 D batteries and those are the original batteries from about 2 years ago. Talk about energizer bunny!
Tootle-oo!
