What little kid doesn't L-O-V-E a parade? Candy bag in tow and faces a-glow!
After nap time we met up with the Krumrei's again to take in the parade. The kids were - as always - very excited to see each other!
Tootie proved to be quite a good parade watcher. She was perfectly happy sitting in her stroller, all kicked back to watch the show. I don't think it even occurred to her to get out and try to get candy with the "big kids". I was fine with that because then I didn't have to try to man-handle 2 little stinkers!
The kids got a lot of cool stuff - candy (of course) frisbees, water bottles, bottles of water, "tickets" and I think Meghan even got an apple.
This was the look on Grant's face when he saw the...the....Okay havin' a brain fart! The guys on the little go-carts. What are they called again?
Grant just loves watching them rip around and look like they are going to crash into each other at any minute!
I truly don't know how they do it...but they sure do make it look like fun :)

I felt so bad for this girl closest to the camera. Her cheeks were all flush and she looked kinda nervous. Or maybe it was just because I was pointing the camera straight at her!

This shot makes me crack up because it was taken right after a convertible with a couple of local princesses in it drove by. Grant was just waving and waving back to them and I am sure he thought they were waving just to him so we started teasing him that his girlfriends were waving at him. I can't remember exactly what he said but it was along the lines of "Hey, don't you say that!" but much funnier in his own words while he was shaking his finger at me!

Tootie just loved the music and the dancers when they went by!

Check out this ride! Not sure how he fit into the "Go Green" theme of the parade but Grant thought it was super cool!

When the McDonalds float came down the road, Grant yelled, "Hey look...its the real McDonald!" He waved his little heart out to "McDonald" too.

Oh, I forgot to mention...the kids each got a pair of sunglasses at the parade too. What a cool dude in his cool new shades!

Peyton strikin' his homeboy pose and sportin' his new shades!

Can I get a WHOOT-WHOOT!

She was clappin' away to the beat. She loves music so much I wouldn't be surprised if she wants to be in dance or play an instrument when she gets older. Hopefully she doesn't take after me...no rhythm and can not carry a tune if my life depended on it!

My little princess being so good in her stroller. She made friends with the older gentleman sitting next to her too. He though she was so cute and was handing her the candy that was thrown in front of him. No wonder she sat so nice. She was getting her fair share of candy and didn't even have to get up. Smart girl!

Here is somethin' I'm willing to bet you've never seen before... This feller was riding his 1941 Harley while wearing OXYGEN! It's hard to see the tube under his nose and I didn't have my zoom lens on, but trust me, it is there! Craziness!

And I leave you with this adorable picture of three of the kiddos completely satisfied with their loot and all ready to hit the fireworks.

We had such a fun day and I just had to share all of the pictures. Hopefully some day the kids will look back at this and think..."Hey, we had a lot of fun with our Mom when we were little. She really wasn't that bad after all!"
Truthfully, I hope they always love me to pieces as I know I will them!
