Spunktacular Days - Volume 1

Holy blogging hiatus! So sorry to keep you hangin' so long. Like I've said before, it is very hard for me to find time to sit down at the computer when it is so darn nice outside. There is so much to do and so little time to do it!

It has almost been two weeks since we celebrated our town's little festival ~ Spunktacular Days!

We always bring the kids up to the parade in the evening, but this is the first year that I have actually brought the kids up town during the day to experience all of the fun. And fun we had!!!! I didn't get any pictures of turtle races or the minnow races but got plenty from all of the fun that ensued at Lion's Park.
And heeeerrrrr we gooooooooooo.....

We met our good friends, the Krumrei's at what Grant called "Bounce World." Grant and Peyton had a blast! Boy are they wild. I wouldn't have wanted to be one of those other kids in there with them!

They are both ALL BOY and can get pretty rambunctious when they are together.

I just think it is great that they get along so well and have so much fun together.

Poor Meghan wasn't having quite as much fun. She was standing on the outside of the bounce house watching the boys with us and someone bumped into her. She got nailed in the nose pretty hard!

I felt so bad for her. Getting bonked in the nose is never any fun. Believe me...I've broken my nose twice and it is NO FUN at all!

Meg was a good sport and didn't stay down and out for long. Here she is scaling the obstacle course like a true champ!

Grant took it on in full force too!

I can't believe how big he is getting.
Watching him climb this big course really made me realize how big and independent he is becoming.
It makes my heart smile to see my kids living life to the fullest and experiencing so many fun things.

And in case you were wondering...little Tootie didn't miss out on her chance to bounce too!

Well...she kinda just sat there and giggled while Grant did all of the bouncing!
Next it was off to cool off in the shade and check out the petting zoo.
Isn't this little lama the cutest thing ever!?! It looks like he is saying "Cheese"!!!

I was simply in awe at this bunny...or was it a puppy? It was kinda hard to tell at first but then when it started hopping it was a dead give-away! Am I the only one that didn't know that there was such a thing as a long haired bunny? That thing could have easily passed as a Yorkie!
Audrey loved all the animals and really wanted to get her hands on that white bunny!
Oh, and did you notice that adorable clippie in her hair? That is one of my new obsessions...cute little felt and crotcheted clippies. Let me tell you, I am getting addicted to ETSY. There are so many cute handmade thing on there. Wish I had that kind of talent...and time!

No clippies for this little Punk. He did have his toe nails painted (his Dad was furious!) but at least we picked a "manly" color....CHROME!!!!

Oh, and meet Gracie. Not really sure which one is Gracie though?
I'm thinking it was this little sweetheart...but just a guess.

I just couldn't get enough of how cute Tootie looked this day. I love her little curls, her adorable little outfit and her sun-kissed skin. I could just eat her right up!

After the petting zoo the kids Grant talked me into walking all the way back to my car to get more money so we could get a balloon animal made, hence the clown...

He was such a cute jolly clown. Grant had him make a kitty for himself and a butterfly for Tootie. His shirt reminded me of Wonder Bread. Not that it matters...I'm just sayin'! He even posed for a picture with the kids!

Don't you just love the kids in their stylin' shades? I thought it was a great opportunity to get a picture of both of the kids together. What a novel idea...a nice picture of brother and sister together. And that is just what it stayed...an idea.
Here are the three jems I ended up with...
A nose pick.

A butt pick.

And not even sure what to call this one but it sure does make me laugh!

By this time it was 2:00 pm...time for a nap.

Hey...we were only 1/2 done with the day of fun. Stay tuned for "Spunktacular Days - Volume 2" coming soon to a blog near you!
