Sassy

We have a sassy pants on our hands.

And she has a little sassy on her hands...sassy bright pink nail polish, that is!
At first glance, you wouldn't think this sweet little girl had a bit of sass. I mean, who could doubt this face?...
Well, I'm here to tell you we have a little sassy pants on our hands.

Wanna hear the story that has led me to this conclusion?

Guess what? You're gonna hear it anyway!

This past Saturday was spent putting up our Christmas decorations...or at least I put up the decorations. The kids were too busy unwrapping and unboxing everything they could get their little paws on to help much with the decorating. Lets just say their 'help' made for a long day but I was lovin' every minute of spending the day making memories with my lovies.

Okay...on to the funny part of the story.

When I pulled out the box with the singing Santa, both kids could hardly wait until he was set up and plugged. If you were around last year for the 2008 Christmas Photo Shoot, you will remember that the Jingle Bell Rock Santa was the reason for many a smiles and many a tears for our kiddos. If you weren't around you can see for yourself here. Anywhoo, once the Santa was all set up and plugged in, Grant cranked him up and the booty shakin' got started...both Santa's booty and the kids that is! Audrey was once again enamored by the singing and dancing Santa. She stood there and watched him with wonderment. Her new 'thing' is to ask permission to touch/push/hold/eat/drink stuff.

Here is where it gets funny...

She asked, "Me touch Santa?". I said "Sure" so she touched his furry white beard. Then she asks, "Me touch belt" and I replied "Yes, you can touch his belt" which, of course, she did. Next she asked, "Me touch pee pee?" I couldn't help myself, I burst out laughing and said, "Sure honey."

I think she was just as shocked at what had just come out of her mouth! (Okay, I am lying...this really wasn't her reaction, but it sure is a fitting picture, isn't it?!)

Honestly, what do you say to that?!? I think I am going to have to prepare myself a little more for the 'birds and the bees talk' if I can't even keep a straight face when my daughter asks if she can tough Santa's 'pee pee'!!!
