Happy 6th Birthday Grant!!

Hard to believe that my little boy is 6 years old today...SIX YEARS OLD!!!! Holy moly! Where has the time gone?!? To celebrate the big event, we took the kids to a water park in Brainerd and were joined by family and friends for an afternoon of swimming, pizza and cake and lots of smiles and laughs!
Bear with me, there are a lot of pics but I guess I am just making up for lost time. And there aren't many from inside the water park because I was simply too busy soaking in the hot tub with Tootie and zinging down the tube slide with both kiddos!
The Krumrei's were kind enough to make the drive up to play in the water with us. Grant was super pumped that his little buddy, Peyton was there to chum around with :)
Kyle and Meghan...sorry, Kyle, but I just had to post this pic. I love your expression! ;) Hehe!Cousin Bailey was in the house as well!
And one more of Julie and Peyton...so cute!
Then it was time for gift opening...
And cake! Our fav...Cash Wise marble with whipped frosting. Yummers!
Little Mister huffed and puffed...
And it appears he has SIX girlfriends! HA!
Nothing like licking the frosting off of the bottom of a new snowmobile toy!
Oh wait! Lookie here...I actually WAS there!
Of course we had to spend some time in the arcade so the kids could waste a ton of money on video games, stale candy and the big hit prize...a trick pack of gum that would snap your finger when you grabbed a piece! So cheesy but super funny watching the kid's reaction!
There's cousin Emily playing the crane game, her favorite!
The boys had fun playing the race car game.
Tootie was the big winner...she won handfuls and handfuls of candy from one of the crane machines.
And she tried almost every kind she won. Can you tell she's all hopped up on sugar?!?
She stopped just long enough for a little head sugar from Daddy...
And then off to sort through her treasures! The best part was when she emptied her handfuls of candy onto the floor, picked out all of the pieces she had already tried, and knew she didn't like, and marched them right over to the trash can. Good girl...learnin' early to only consume the calories that are worthwhile!!
After everyone else left, the kids wanted to go for another dip in the water so we all suited back up and did about 20 more trips down the tube slide. It was old news to Grant because he's been to a handful of water parks but it was Tootie's first time and she loved the water slides. She loves a good rush, just like her Mommy! Next was bath time to wash off and then Grant was so tuckered out he fell fast asleep right after!
We couldn't let him fall asleep without getting a few pictures to razz him with!
Audrey was a good sport and thought it was so funny to make faces behind him while he was sleeping! Oh, and don't mind her pizza sauced face from her (almost) midnight snack!
Silly little monkey!
And finally, we had to commemorate the first hotel sleep over for both kids with a family picture.
Happy 6th Birthday, my sweet boy! We love you so much!!!

Oh, to be 3 again...

Oh, to be 3 again...Wouldn't it be nice to have your only worry to be what toy you were going to play with next and be told that you MUST take a nap every day after lunch?! Not that I can remember being three, but I am sure it wasn't all that rough.
{If you noticed that part of the 3 was missing it is because Diego fell over and part of the 3 got stuck to his back pack and this was the lone cake only pic I took}
One of the main reasons that I keep this blog up (other than REALLY enjoying doing it) is that I hope that some day my children will be able to relive some of the everyday events that they have experienced by looking back at the pictures and reading what I wrote.
Like the special moment of blowing out the candles on your 3rd Birthday cake.
Or licking the frosting off of the figurines and candles after making your wish.
Little missy moo-moo got busted sticking her finger in the frosting here but I just couldn't be mad at her.
Could you stay mad at this face?
Wait! Or this one...
Better yet, this one?!
Me either!
Audrey sure was excited to see what was in the big box. Mostly because she peeked in the gift bags that Grandma and Grandpa brought so she already knew what was in them! Grant was also more than eager to 'help' her open her presents.
Cousins Emily and Evan were also there helping my little Hunna celebrate her birthday. She sure loved having them there for her big party.
Once the wrapping paper was all off of the big box and she could see the picture on the box, she was all smiles.
She has always wanted and finally gotten her very own kitchen!
That little stinker even stayed up until 11 o'clock waiting for Daddy and his friend Pete to finish putting this little kitchen together. Isn't it the cutest thing? I almost wish it was mine ;)
The minute they were finished, she moved her pots and pans right on in!
This morning, the first thing she did was 'make' me some corned beef, a slice of cheese and a glass of milk. Nothing like a little protein to start off the day! I have a feeling that she is going to have lots of fun with it and I will be served many-a interesting meals in the very near future.

My Baby is turning 3!!!

I am having a hard time accepting the fact that this little one...
...has turned into this little one...
She's not so little anymore, now is she! Well...she is petite and most people mistake her for turning 2 instead of 3, but she is undoubtedly growing up right before my eyes. {sniff, sniff}
Her personality is blossoming...
Her hair is {finally} growing...She is the light of my life and I couldn't be more proud to call her my daughter.
Happy 3rd Birthday to my sweet little Tootie Mae Mae!!!! I love you!!!

The Big Super Hero Birthday Bash

Hold on to your pants cause this is gonna be a long one!!!

So, as most of you know, Grant turned 5 last Monday. I know I have said it a million times, but how in the world did he grow up so fast?
For his party (we had it a day early) we invited family and a few close friends to join in on a Super Hero themed party. The star of the show was none other than the (in)famous 'Vit-a-min" aka Venom or The Black Spiderman. This was the costume Grant was suppose to be for Halloween but he ended up being the red and blue Spidey.
Little sassy pants was donning an adorable (and equally as sassy) Bat Girl costume. The only problem is, she was playing her shy card and wouldn't get off of Grandma's lap or pull her hand out of her mouth for the first 20 min of the party.
Don't think we went without a red and blue Spidey in the house! This is my friend, Sheila's little boy, Nate. Not sure if you can tell from the picture, but he is a tiny little fella and he looked so stinkin' cute with that muscly costume on.
And if the above mentioned super heroes are not enough...Never fear! Super Man is here!!!This is my cousin, Evan, who is only two weeks younger than Grant. He is the one who was racing snowmobiles a few posts back. This kid cracks me up! He kept 'striking a pose' and not even knowing it! HA!
Grant's little friend, Peyton was also there. He was sportin' a red Power Rangers costume...muscles and all! If you were around last year you will remember him as the one who gave me the fat lip. You can read about that escapade here! I think it is so funny that he and Grant are practically the same size and he is gonna be 6 in April! Crazy!
For some reason, I didn't capture any good pictures of just the girls in their costumes. Darn it! The kids did spend a good portion of the party huddled around the crane machine trying to win wasting our money trying to win prizes.
I finally coaxed Audrey out of hiding an managed to get a couple of semi-good pictures of her in her costume.
She wouldn't keep her mask on but she still looked cute-as-a-button!
We all enjoyed some yummy homemade Trobec's pizzas for lunch.
And I had to include this picture because I figured some of you 'city folk' may think it funny that we have 'Crow Shoots' around here! Yep, people go out and see who can shoot the most crows. Now that is what I call Redneck!
The next two are of our nephews, Bailey and Carter. They were too old and too cool to dress up as super heroes.
I don't ever want my kids to be too old to dress up as super heroes!
Their sister, Austin, wasn't above playing along for a little bit, though.
Here is a good picture of Sheila and Nate enjoying s0me quality mother-son time.
After we were done eating it was time for the BIG surprise!

All of a sudden, there was a *knock* *knock* at the door.
And in came the real 'Vit-a-min'!
The look of excitement on Grant's face was truly priceless!!
He was in complete shock & awe, but it only lasted for a couple of seconds.
As soon as Kyle (Peyton and Meghan's dad) uttered his first word, Grant knew it was him. Plus, Meghan recognized his shoes so he was unmasked within a matter of seconds!
It was still worth it to see that look on Mr. Granty's face :) Spidey also brought Grant a special gift...a Spiderman wii game!!! He was super pumped about that too!
Of course we had to try for a couple of group shots.
It came as no surprise to me that Audrey was not about to cooperate with the whole group picture thingy so what you saw was what you got of her!
I had to include an array of the group shots since it is funny to see the different poses the kids were breakin' down.
I love this one cause Grant was showing Kyle the right way to sling a web! That kid is just too funny!
Had to share one more pic of his awesome cake. I had them do a custom job and combine two designs into one cake. Grant was more excited about the fact that it had two toys on it!
Duke was just excited that I ended up getting the 1/2 sheet cake so he could eat left-over cake all week. He loves him some Cash Wise cake with whipped frosting!
We had so much fun celebrating the Punk's 5th Birthday and I think the super hero themed party was a hit! The only problem is now I have to try to top this next year! Wish me luck :)
