Achy Breaky Heart

Guess what else was far too long...

Well, not necessarily far too long, but Lil' Missy Moo Moo had been sportin' some unruly frizz and a baby mullet as of late so I finally broke down and brought her in for her first hair cut.

She was a very good sport about it, but seemed a little shy and nervous. She would not take her fingers out of her mouth for the first half of the hair cut. I don't really blame her though. It had been a pretty revolutionary week for her since she just finally "lost" her last nukie and I am proud to announce that she is now nukie free! She is so used to having something in her mouth when she is tired or nervous that the fingers have now entered the picture (only when she is nervous - not actual sucking or any fingers-in-the-mouth on a regular basis so I am not worried about it)

She even tried to smile through the fingers in the mouth.

And there it is. The first official snip snip.
Look at how long some of her hair was. I was sad to see some of her curls shortened up but the main reason I chose to get it cut was because she had this oddly long section on the top back of her head and it was starting to look out of place so I thought it was time to even things out a bit. No mullet babies aloud 'round these parts even if it does give dear old Mom a bit of an "Achy Breaky Heart."

Look, there is goes....bye bye little baby mullet!
You might also notice a few bubbles showing up in the pictures. One of the girls there was trying to loosen Audrey up a bit by blowing some bubbles but there was no swaying this little girl. She was also completely engrossed in the Elmo movie they had playing for her. Ingenious idea huh?!?

There's that cute little mouth with it's cute little "cheese" smile!

At this point she was thinkin' this gig wasn't all too bad.

Busy hamin' it up!

Hamin'... that is until the blow dryer fired up.

She handled it pretty well, but fists were definitely clinched.

Ahhh... much better. And there are those cute little curls I adore so much.

There ya be. The pretty little princess with her pretty new hair cut.

I can hardly believe that my baby doll is going to be 2 years old in a week and a half. How can it be? It sure sounds like it has been far too long, since she is still my sweet little baby girl. Ah heck...she will alway be my sweet little baby girl!
