Warning! This post is going to be full of randomness and venting.
I feel like I have been running non stop for the last 3 weeks straight and funny how I seem to have gained weight in that time because when you are busy you shouldn't have time to eat, right? Well, maybe the problem is that I have been visiting Mr. Vending Machine a little too often for my lunch of Combos or Gardettos and a Diet Coke. Nope, that couldn't be the problem. Oh, and all of the new fall shows have been starting and since I have waited all summer hanging on the edge of a cliff, I just have to watch them, right?!? And it gets dark out earlier. I'm telling you. I am doomed!
Last weekend was my friends, Lisa and Dan's, wedding reception so I was busy helping with that and now I have the job of editing all of the pictures I took. A job that I took on without being asked, that I LOVE and that I am MORE THAN HAPPY to do, but none the less, a job. As a matter of fact, the picture of Tootie above is from the reception. It was a beautiful day for an outside fall reception. The kids were only there for a few hours but they played their little hearts out. Grant ran non stop (literally) from when his little friend Peyton arrived until I said it was time to go back to Grandma and Grandpas. Lets just say it was a bit of a struggle to convince him to leave. Can't wait to share more pictures from the day and night of the party.
On another note, my Mom called today and asked me about the pictures I took of her, for her new business card, that I had promised to send to her weeks ago. OOoooppppsie! That sort of slipped my mind. Sorry Mom! I did get them sent out tonight so I can check that one off the list!
Grant started preschool two weeks ago, so now my Tues nights are pretty much shot rushing to get the kids fed and him to school by 5:30 until 8:00 pm then back home and ready for bed. He just loves going to school though. And Tootie just can't seem to figure out why she doesn't get to stay and play with him. I guess they are just so used to being together all of the time that it is a difficult concept for her to grasp. It is really nice to have a little "Just Tootie and Mommy Time" since she has always had to share me.
Oh, and I started sorting through, ripping off tags and getting ready to wash the clothes that I purchased last year on clearance for this year and I ran across 3 items of clothing that I had two of each! Yes, I bought the same clothes twice...once on sale and once on clearance at least! I guess it goes without saying that you know you have a pretty extensive shopping habit when you buy the same identical things twice and don't even realize it for months! Luckily I found my receipt and I have 6 days to return the sale items. That will be $15 back in my pocket (hopefully not the one with the whole in it.) Yeah me! Maybe that can help pay for the paint I am planning on slapping on my kitchen walls (after I scrape all of the wall paper off) next weekend.
Also, next Friday a few of my friends from high school and I are heading down to Albertville and probably Maple Grove for a day of shopping and then getting a hotel room in Bloomington and going to Tony and Tina's Wedding (an interactive dinner play) at the MOA. What a way to celebrate my up and coming 32nd Birthday (on Monday), huh?! Duke is always gone hunting over my Birthday so I usually choose to paint or redecorate a room (or both) while he is gone. Gonna be fun times!
Speaking of fun times. Snoozin' in my bed is sounding pretty fun to me right now so I am going to go CRASH. And I promise it won't take me another week and a half to do my next post!
Nighty-Night

Carrie, My birthday is Monday too! What? Really it is, Oct. 5th :) So fun!
ReplyDeleteLOVE Tootie's picture, she is such an angel! Take it easy! I would love to see all the pictures you took, but I know how exciting it is to sit down and watch the new Fall shows like the Biggest Loser..and eat ice-cream and chips...at least that's what I do! haha! Have an awesome weekend, sounds like a great time!
