bumps-n-bruises

The other weekend...oh, who am I kidding, these pictures are from Valentines weekend.

So I'm a little behind!!

Well, that weekend, Duke and the kids went up to visit Duke's parents and I stayed home and did a two day cleaning marathon. Too bad it doesn't stay clean, right?! Anyway, when the family got home around noon on Sunday, the first thing Audrey had to show me was this bruise on her noggin.
It kinda looks like a lipstick kiss mark in the middle of her forehead but I am guessing it didn't feel like a kiss when she tipped over a glider rocker and whacked her head on the concrete floor. Then when she got home she some how got a cut on her finger (so terrible I can't remember) and needed a band-aid. Poor beat up child. But, did you know if you rub your silky blankie on your owie it is all better? That's what works for both of my kiddos.
Since the owie was all better Little Tooters thought it was time for a little...

Peek
ABoo!
I just love her silly and playful little personality. I only wish she would stay this age forever. I am personally not a believer in the 'Terrible Twos.' I think it is more the 'Terrible Threes' when they have all of their words, are more (or should I say too) independent and they tend to disagree with everything their Mother says. Yep, two is my favorite age.

Here is one more look at her poor little bumped and bruised face.
It is still as adorable as can be, but I couldn't help but edit a couple of the pictures and make her chubby little face look unscathed.
Crazily, we have no real plans what-so-ever for this weekend so I think I am going to enjoy a little down time with my kiddos. My neck, upper back and left arm have been killing me for the last week and a half - most likely due to stress - so I could use a little time to rest up. If I were to wager, the rest won't happen, especially since I have piles of laundry to catch up on and there is always cleaning that needs to get done.

  1. What a cutie patootie! My daughter has three bruises on her face right now and I only know how she got one of them! Don't you hate that? She sure is a beauty though. I agree with you on the three's being terrible instead of the twos. I'm experiencing that right now! Great pics I to LOVE the last one of Audrey!

I hope you got to rest up this weekend! :)
