the 'second best face' photo

It was so hard to choose between my two favorite shots of Tootie from our little photo shoot this past Saturday but since they only allow one photo entry, I was forced to pick one. I do love this one so so much as well.
If you missed the one I chose to enter you can see it here.

driven to drink

After a long week, it was time for one of these. Or make that two!Not that my children are the only reason that I felt the need to indulge in a little vino, but they sure did solidify the decision!
As usual, they were all wound up from spending 2 hours with Daddy on Friday afternoon, at which time he always makes sure to swing by McDonald's for a shake or feeds them a heaping bowl of ice cream. But my eyes were focused on that yummy bottle of Riesling.
All the while these to little stinkers decided to put on a 'show' of sorts while I was attempting to take a documentary picture of my nights destiny.Face after face, these two were simply cracking me up!
It was lime follow the leader...Tootie Mae Mae had to try on every face that big brother was making.
Her words and personality are really starting to emerge as of late. Last weekend while on the way home from my parents she was singing her version of the ABC's. It went something like 'HYP, HYP, HYP'... rather funny but got a little tiresome after the first half hour. Oh and if you tried to correct her, she would blatantly disagree with you and yell, 'NO...HYP!'
I so love that my chitlins have such silly and fun personalities.
I so do not love that they constantly climb up on my counters. Why is it that kids always have to be up high and right in the middle of everything?
No more stinky tootsies on my counter, please!
But in the end, if they are having fun together and lovin' on each other, what is the big deal about anyway?
Hopefully they will stay best friends forever!
Well, Audrey just announced "Mommy, me poop--ded" so I guess I had better go change her. After four dirty ones after 3 pm yesterday and now another one by noon today, I am wondering where it all comes from! I am so ready for her to be potty trained!

crazy boys

Long week. Lotsa good, some not so good, work is hectic...it has just been a long week and it is only Wednesday! That's all I have to say about that.
New Years Eve, we drove up to my parents house to celebrate Christmas and New Years with my side of the family. We had a great time and I took TONS of pictures, many of which I have not had a chance to look at let alone edit since, until tonight, I literally had not even fired up my laptop since Sunday.

It's a shame, I know.

It was so nice to spend some quality time indoors (since it has been frigidly cold lately...like in the -10 to -30 degrees Fahrenheit. Ish!) with my family.

My brother, Corey and sister-in-law, Susan...you remember the one from here that made these...and their 3 boys (aka my crazy nephews) were also at my parents for a visit.

For Christmas, it has become a tradition now that I make a calendar of the Grand kids for my Mom and Dad. Since we don't see my brother and his family all that often, I try to take lots of pics of the boys so I have some to use on the calendar. Well this year it backfired on me a bit. Just check out some of the pictures that I took of their crazy boys!
{Doesn't Sam look like Gilbert Godfrey when he makes this face?!?!?}I'm tellin' ya...these boys are simply full of crazy! Not exactly calendar material but they sure do make me smile :)
