First Day of 3's Preschool!

Grant had his first day of Preschool on Monday evening (9/22) at Avon Elementary School. The preschool class is 1 hour and 45 minutes long and he will attend 5 weeks with a parent and then 5 weeks on his own. This is really good exposure for Grant since he had not been subject to a school setting yet and he has a bit of separation anxiety if it is something new and different.
The first day of school wasn't all peachy, though. Little Mister, "'I always have to get my way" didn't want to wear jeans to school, but rather mesh blue and orange shorts with his white and light blue polo shirt. I guess by the pictures below, you can see who won that battle! And he looks so little next to this big school!

And then there was the shoe battle. After I got his cute brown leather shoes on and tied and we were on our way out the door, he insisted on wearing his camo crocs. By this time we had 5 minutes to get to the school so we didn't have time to change shoes. Again, guess who won the battle...Yep, you guessed it! MOM :)
The next few pictures are a sequence of him on his way into the school for the first preschool class..

I think he was getting a little annoyed that I kept making him stop to take pictures!
Look at his cute little Spidey back pack!

The little squirt is pretty tough...he even opened that big door all by himself!
This is his cute little classroom. I love how tiny everything is!

One more cheezy picture, please???

After class time was over, they were able to check out a book to bring home for the week. Grant thought that was SO COOL! Apparently I don't bring him to the library enough! St. Cloud just built a brand new library and there is talk that we may take a field trip there. Otherwise it will be a fun thing to do this winter.

And then there is the art project he got to paint for his Daddy and I. Isn't it a beauty!

Well, one class down and 9 more to go! He had a blast and can't wait to go back next week. Every day he asks me if it is Monday again so he can go to school. He is really excited to bring in the Box Tops for Education that we have been saving. He already has them all packed in his Spidey backpack!
Well, I can't end this post without including a couple of pictures of my little Tooters! Here are a couple of pictures of her in her adorable chocolate brown and cream cow print jimmer jammers. Aren't they just adorable! She has a matching cream and chocolate brown silky blankie that matches too! She is such a snuggle bug :)

Ugh Oh! Watch out...she is getting ready to stand up...

And we have lift-off! She is so ready to start walking. She just hasn't figured out that when she lets go and throws herself forward she has to move her feet at the same time. Needless to say she has bruises and dings on her forehead as you can probably see in a couple of the pictures. Poor little girl! She'll be up and running soon enough though!

Alright, I better sign off for the night. I bought some of those cleansing/detoxing patches that you put on your feet that are suppose to draw out toxins, metals, etc. while you sleep. Anyway, I have to go put them on my hubby like I promised. I'll let you know how they work.
Nighty night!
