Mealtime Madness!

Mealtimes at our house can often times get a little crazy. Especially since I have one child who lives to eat and the other who could care less if he eats supper at all! I am pretty much going to share SOME of the MANY pictures I have of my kids eating. You may think it is weird that I have so many of these type of pictures, but it is the one time during the day that I can catch the kids sitting still or actually strapped in is more like it. I always have my camera sitting on the counter waiting for the next photo op to present itself. This first picture is of sweet little Audrey eating her food like a big girl. Don't fool yourself though...in an instant she can turn into a cheese crazed maniac!

And then there is little Granty. He is a very picky eater and it takes everything I have in me to get him to try something new. Here is a pic of him trying pea pods dipped in ranch dressing. The funny thing about this pic is that he liked the pea pods first and hadn't even tried ranch before. Go figure. Now he likes to dip his veggies in ranch. Hey, whatever works, right? Notice his shirt too..."Mr. Independent!" He is also good for liking to make a production out of meal times. Like this sequence of pictures. First he had to dress up in his biker attire to eat his raspberry yogurt. But notice he is sitting in his sisters light pink Bumbo seat. Oohh, tough guy! Then he shed a few layers and began to goof off for the rest of his "meal".

Our little Oinker has passion for cheezy macaroni. I truly think if she could eat just one thing it would be the Mac! The picture in the blue and yellow high chair is her first encounter with Mac-N-Cheese. It was taken the 4th of July weekend so she was about 8 months old. Ever since that weekend, when she learned how to shovel food into her own mouth, she has not allowed me to spoon feed her unless it is yogurt or pudding. I am thinking she should have a "Ms. Independent" shirt too! Here are a couple of more "Cheezy" pics...

Check out this one...she even has a noodle hanging off of her chin! Ewwww! Nasty, funky, slimy little girl!
And please, please don't rub it in your eyes!

Hey...where did all the food go? I wasn't done yet!

Here are a couple of Grant with his cousin Evan. They are only 2 weeks apart in age. Crazy, huh! And the just love to get together to play. Sometimes it gets a little rough as you can tell from the presence of the band aid on Grant's eyebrow in this picture. They were wrestling on the pull out couch bed and Grant fell off and whacked his head on the metal frame. OUCH! He cried for a little while, but for the most part he just shook it off and wanted to keep playing. Now he has a nice scar but hopefully the Mederma I have been putting on it will help with that.

Check out the frosting face on this little dude! He likes his sugar and insists on eating off all of the frosting from his cupcake before he eats the cake. And I don't blame him one bit when it comes to whipped frosting from Cash Wise bakery! Yum Yum!
This was Tootie's first encounter with a pickle. Boy O' Boy did she go crazy over it. She chewed and sucked on that thing until was almost not green anymore. Then she screamed when I took it away from her. Krazy babers! And this looks as if it is her first time eating something of the tomato sort...with a few peas mixed in for good measure! Hey, if she will eat em, I will give em to her. She is the closest thing to a garbage disposal that I have ever seen. Her dad thinks she is going to explode from the amount she eats. I just have to remind her that she is a growing girl.

Grant felt the need to be a "baby" and sit in the high chair up at Grandma Sue and Grandpa Oscar's "cavin" (aka cabin to most people, but not my little Granty) Then there is our little pterodactyl (s/p?) baby. She screeches and screams every chance she gets which is what she is dong in the pic above. Fun was had by all in that high chair! I know this is getting long, but only a couple of more to go...
Blueberry Butt Baby. That is what we have been calling her lately. She also has a deep love for the berries. Blueberries, that is. So much so that she would eat the entire carton if I would let her. And then there is poor Daddy, Grandma and Teresa who have to change the nasty blueberry diapers the next day. Oh, how I love going to work early in the morning :) But how could you say no to this face??? Grants favorite food by far is PIZZA. He prefers to eat the frozen pepperonis off the top of the pizza first and then eat the pizza once it is cold again. For the longest time I had had trouble convincing him that I needed to cook the frozen pizza before he could eat it. In his mind, it was already cold...why would you have to cook it just to get it cold again???? That is until I let him try to take a bite of a frozen one. After that he didn't question me again. Funny how that works! He was also showing off his grape eating talents the other night. He was so proud that he could put two grapes in his mouth at the same time. And I really thought it was cool because then he couldn't talk back to me! It is a win-win situation! Then there is the old "olive on the finger trick." Look at Audrey...the is thinking, " Are you gonna eat that or just play with it? I already ate mine and I am still kind of hungry."

And, last but not least...Here is little Miss Priss lookin' all sassy in her new leopard print, "Girls Rock" bib! Isn't she just as cute as a button!

Well, I guess I better sign off for the night. Since this post centered around my filthy eating children, I am thinking my next post will have to do with tubby time.
Hope tomorrow is as beautiful a day as today was. I'm lovin' this warm fall weather :)
Nighty Night!
